Arsenal are set to face newly promoted Burnley this weekend away at Turf Moor. The Gunners would be favorites to clinch three points as they look to continue their fine form.
Arsene Wenger has transformed the side into an aggressive one off late as the team looked in a completely different form in recent weeks.
The Gunners have scored 13 goals in their last four games and have conceded the only goal. They have also won their last four Premier League games and are looking to continue their hot streak going forward in the season.
Meanwhile, newly promoted Burnley are also heading into the game on the back of a victory in the league last weekend. They have won 2-0 against Watford at their home.
The Clarets are a threat at home as they are very organized defensively and can hurt oppositions with quick counter attacks. They have so far managed seven points in the opening six games as they look to stay in Premier League for next season.
Team News:
Arsenal
The Gunners will be without striker Olivier Giroud for the game as he is still recovering. Francis Coquelin will also not be match ready after his knee injury against Chelsea last weekend.
Aaron Ramsey who had suffered hamstring injury against Liverpool in the season opener will not be available as he continues his fitness recovery. Long-term absentees Per Mertesacker and Danny Welbeck will remain unavailable for Wenger.
Burnley
The Clarets will go into the match with a healthy squad as they have lesser injury problems compared to Arsenal. However, Burnley manager Dyche will have to play without striker Andre Gray who was handed a four-match ban by FA.
What did the managers say?
Burnley manager Sean Dyche on Arsene Wenger: “Arsene, for me, is one of the top managers without a shadow of a doubt.
“A lot of respect goes out from me, as a young manager, looking at him and what he’s done… the way he puts a team together, the style, the manner.
“As managers, we all understand the fan mentality, the thirst and desire to win and be successful, but from a manager’s point of view you have to scratch your head and wonder why he’s questioned at times.”
Arsenal manager Wenger on his 20 years in charge: “A lot has changed. The art of management has changed, the club has grown bigger, it is now a global club. Twenty years ago it wasn’t as big, or as expensive.
“Football has become popular, it’s become a world sport. Everything has changed and the pressure has intensified too.
“But what hasn’t changed is the solidarity inside the club. That’s always stayed the same.”
