Chelsea FC visits Walsall to take on Football League One side Walsall FC in a Capitol One Cup third round encounter on Wednesday, night.

Chelsea is currently struggling in the bottom half of the league in the Premier League. After a poor start to the season, Chelsea somehow managed to beat rivals Arsenal last weekend. Chelsea drew their opening match against Swansea City then lost to Manchester City and Crystal Palace. Before the Arsenal game, they were struggling near the relegation zone.

Goalkeeper

Asmir Begovic will start in the absence of Thibaut Courtois who is out with an injury. Jamal Blackman is an option but going by Jose Mourinho ways we think the former Stoke City goalkeeper will start tonight.

Defenders

We predict two major changes in the starting lineup in the backline for Chelsea tonight. Baba Rahman will start in the left back as Cesar Azpilicueta would come in place of Branislav Ivanovic. The other one would be the shock buy of Chelsea this season Papy Djilobodji. The 27-year-old Senegalese international might get a break in the starting lineup today.

Midfielders

Ramires, Oscar and Kenedy will be the front three midfielders followed by Ruben Loftus-Cheek and John Obi Mikel in the central midfield area. Loftus-Cheek did a commendable job in the Champions League and he will be given a chance once again.

Striker

We expect Radamel Falcao to start in this match for Chelsea. Diego Costa was involved in a controversy last game and thus he would be rested in this easier tie.

Capitol One Cup: Walsall vs Chelsea predicted lineup - Expect 10 changes in Chelsea team 1

Prediction: Walsall FC 0-3 Chelsea

We expect a dominating performance by the Blues in this match and predict a 3-0 win in the Premier League side’s favour. 3-0 for Chelsea.
