Casemiro and the story of Yogurt

Brazillian midfielder Casemiro who is now regarded as one of the best defensive midfielder in the world recalled his journey from his childhood.

The Real Madrid man broke down into tears when a bottle of yogurt was given to him during an interview.

The bottle of yogurt reminds him of his past in Brazil where he could not afford to purchase it:
As a child, I always wanted to drink these, but we never had the money. It didn’t cost much, around 20 cents, but my mom would always call me inside because no one had the money to buy some.”

But now when he goes to his home in Brazil, a bottle of yogurt is all he drinks:
So now, when I go back home to Brazil, I drink about 50 of these a day. It’s not good for me, I know, but I do it because it’s something that I’ve always wanted & could never have.”

Casemiro is currently with his national team in Russia for the FIFA World Cup 2018. As his side plays the opening match against Switzerland on 17th June.

Former Brazil coach Felipe Scolari believes Casemiro is the most important part of Brazil. Looking at the current team, it is the Real Madrid midfielder who stands out most to him. Despite of all the lethal attackers, it will be Casemiro who will need to control the game for the five time World Champions.
