Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side will be happy with the break that they have been given this season, thanks to Southampton’s time in the League final at Wembley.
The manager will hope that this break can allow his team to regroup after a series of mediocre results that saw them slip up in the points table. The Gunners are also all but knocked out of the Champions League, having lost 5-1 to Bayern in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie earlier this month.
However, they do have a decent chance of qualifying for the elite competition if they can get back to form in the domestic league and the club is already planning for life next season.
They have been looking at some star players to add to their squad recently and one player who is constantly linked with a switch to Old Trafford is Inter Milan midfielder Ivan Perisic.

The Croatian midfielder is one of the most wanted players in Europe in the summer transfer window after the end of the season with the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United all linked with a move for him in the recent past.
And according to reports from trusted new outfit CalcioMercato, Premier League outfit have just taken a lead in the race for his signature.
The 29-year old, who is integral to the plans at the San Siro, has 7 goals and 6 assists across all competitions this season and the Italian outfit are not yet ready to let him go.
But Perisic, who has now appointed Fali Ramadania as his agent, might now be moving closer to the Emirates.
Tuttomercatoweb, another trusted news source has also revealed that Antonio Conte is desperate for his signature and has asked his scouts to keep an eye on his constantly till the end of the season.

But it is understood that with Wenger set to lose the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil in the near future, the game time that Perisic might get at the Emirates is what might decide this move.
The 29-year old has 3 and a half years left on his contract with the Italian club and will not be cheap but it is understood that Wenger is ready to spend on the midfielder if he loses either Sanchez or Ozil this summer.
With all his experience, Perisic will be a super addition for Arsenal but do you think Wenger will be able to lure him to the Emirates?
