Chelsea are heavily focused on building their youth set up as in a span of 4 days, the Blues are linked with a player, whose name Chelsea fans might not have heard before.
Earlier this week, Chelsea were linked with FC Tokyo’s striker Yoshinori Muto and now as per ESPN Brazil, It has been confirmed that Chelsea are very close to signing the highly talented 19-year old midfielder Nathan from the Brazilian club Atletico Paranaense.
ESPN Brazil, has confirmed the news of Chelsea’s interest in the player and has also reported of a £4.7 million bid being accepted by Atletico Paranaense. Nathan is due to visit Stamford Bridge in coming weeks, where he will complete his medical and sign for the club.
Nathan will join the long-list of Brazilians at the club as currently Chelsea have Willian, Oscar, Ramires and Filipe Luis who hail from Brazil. Nathan can play as an attacking midfield player and he has been one of the stars of Brazil’s U-17 side.
It is believed that Nathan will be loaned out to various clubs in his initial stint at Chelsea to continue his development as a player. Nathan is expected to sign for Chelsea in coming weeks as Atletico Paranaense have accepted a £4.7 million bid from the London based club.
