Chelsea are reportedly lining up for a loan move to hijack PSG’s argentine midfielder Javier Pastore to in the winter transfer window, beating rivals Liverpool and Arsenal.
The Argentine playmaker currently is not a guaranteed first eleven appearance for the French champions, which attracted many top clubs to his potential move, the Daily Star reveals.
Reports saying, Juventus and Inter Milan are also having eyes on Pastore. Mourinho is looking for an ideal upgrade on the currently under-performing Fabregas in the Blues’ midfield. The Argentina international could fit in those criteria.
The 26-year-old Pastore last season bagged six goals and ten assists in all competitions, helping PSG to win the Ligue 1 title.
There are rumours in French media that currently the Argentine attacking midfielder is not having a smooth relationship with his boss, Laurent Blanc. He also put pressure on the French manager when speaking in the media zone after PSG’s 2-0 win against SC Bastia by suggesting that Blanc will him in the first eleven against Real Madrid in the vital champions league clash, “When we are about to play a big match, you always have that in your head. So yes, all the players think about the Real Madrid game because it will be a fantastic match… The key to PSG vs Real? That I play! We will have to play well, have possession of the ball and be aggressive when we don’t have it. I hope above everything that we will do a good match? Will I start? I don’t know, but I hope so.”
