Chelsea join both Manchester clubs in race for 20-year old German international
The transfer window after the end of this season is bound to produce some big money moves as there are a number of European stars up for grabs this summer.
Recent reports have suggested that London outfit Chelsea will make a move for Schalke star Leroy Sane in a transfer worth 37 million euros.
According to The Sun, Chelsea will join the race with Liverpool,Manchester United and Manchester City to sign the 20 year old German international in a bid to increase their quality for the next season.
Leroy Sane will be sold by the German franchise in one of the biggest moves for some time and at the age of 20, Sane will surely attract some insane amounts of money.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic is being urged to make a move for player who is already capped for Germany’s national team. He is seen as the fresh face and legs that are needed by the club to get back to the top of the table in the domestic league next season.
Chelsea will have a new manager after the end of Guus Hiddink’s interim time at the club and surely the club will be looking at an overhaul to let go of the hangover of this disappointing season.
Manchester United almost made a bid for Sane in the January transfer window but they pulled out of the move in the last minute as the price for the player was too high in their books.
Pep Guardiola who will move to Manchester City for the next season is also a fan of the 20 year old and is keen on brining him to the Etihad. With money not being a problem, they are understood to be in pole position to sign Sane before the start of the next season.
However, Chelsea are set to fight it out till the end as they have identified Sane as a player who can provide the impetus that the team has been missing this season.
Do you think Leroy Sane will move to Chelsea next season?
