It seems now that Jose Mourinho’s side are quite eager to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann, the Daily Mirror has reported in its recent edition. It was further stated that the France international is currently also the Blues’ number one target, who are having a horrific campaign so far and are trying to turn things around as soon as possible. The 24 year old superstar joined the La Liga giants in the summer of 2014 and has been quite impressive for manager Diego Simeone’s side so far. The attacker scored a tally of 22 goals in 37 La Liga matches in the previous campaign and has looked good so far this term as well.

The Mirror further added that the Portuguese boss is quite keen on strengthening his attack when he does get the opportunity to do so, with some his star players like Diego Costa, Radamel Falcao, Loic Remy and even Eden Hazard not able to make an impact this season.

The newspaper further added that Griezmann has a price tag of around £25m to his name, though the Spanish giants are not too keen on selling their superstar forward half way through the season.

The west London side suffered yet another defeat at the hands of Bournemouth at the weekend, as they lost 1-0 at Stamford Bridge and the performances of some the players was really below par.

The Frenchman could surely make a difference for the champions of England, if the deal does indeed go through in the January transfer window with Chelsea looking to reinforce their squad.
