Chelsea keen to sign young Spanish forward from La Liga giants
The reigning champions of England, Chelsea are looking to complete a move for Spanish U-21 international Borja Mayora, as per what the recent speculations have suggested. The youngster is at present with former European champions Real Madrid, with the La Liga giants looking to extend his current contract to keep him at the Bernabeu in the near future, with interest from other clubs in acquiring his services. Despite that, the Blues are still not ready to give up and are keen on completing the 18-year-old’s move to Stamford Bridge soon.
The attacker who made his first-team debut some time ago in the current campaign, has been a target for the west London side who are trying their best to sign him, according to the Sunday People. Real want Mayora to sign a new deal in order to fend off any interest from Guus Hiddink’s side, who have been slowly recovering after a horrific start to the current season. The Londoners are currently in 13 place with 28 points from 23 matches in the league and recently secured a win over Arsene Wenger’s side at the Emirates.
Mayoral at present has just 18 months left on his current deal with the Spanish outfit and it will be interesting to see which club can acquire his services on a long term basis. He can surely be a star for the future if nurtured properly and both the European giants will want him to put pen to paper and commit his future to them, as they look to strengthen their squad.
