Chelsea are looking to continue with the additions of young prospects to the squad, with Inter Milan’s Cesare Casadei now on their radars. According to Tuttosport, Chelsea have shown serious interest in snapping up the 19-year-old who is yet to make a senior appearance for the Serie A giants.
The Blues have now been handed a boost in signing Casadei as Inter are ready to sell their talent in order to raise funds, the report from Tuttosport adds. Inter manager Simone Inzaghi too has ruled out Casadei’s inclusion from his first-team plans further opening the midfielder’s door for an exit.

€15 million would be enough from Chelsea to land Casadei
Cesare Casadei who operates as a central midfielder has been in talks since his impressive record for the club’s youth setup Inter Milan Primavera. He was snapped by the 2020/21 Serie A champions from AC Cesena’s youth academy in 2019 on a free transfer.
The teenager has so far made 65 appearances for Inter Milan Primavera, scoring a massive 24 goals and adding 7 assists to it. Casadei has also played for other youth setups of Inter Under-17 and Under-18, racking up 12 goals in 30 games there. However, his exploits are yet to earn him a call up to the senior side which already boasts the likes of Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic,
Chelsea could fulfil his dream of playing for a senior side across Europe’s top five leagues as they are eager to broker a deal for him. Inter too are willing to part ways with Casadei as they have placed a price tag of just €15 million on him, which Chelsea consider as no difficult amount to fork out.

The Blues in the process could continue to land young talent having already signed 18-year-old midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa for €24 million and goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina, also 18-years-old from Chicago Fire FC for €10 million. They have also welcomed loan returnees Conor Gallagher [22] and Armando Broja [20] this summer.
The Londoners are reportedly planning to induct as many as young options in the midfield since Jorginho and N’Golo Kante are both on the negative side of their 30s. Casadei could be viewed by Chelsea as a potential part of their long-term building of the midfield.
Casadei also has the experience of representing his national side Italy’s Under-19 team, netting 3 times in 12 outings. He was also a crucial part of an Italy side which made it to the semi-finals of the European U19 Championship 2022, only for England to knock them out.
Chelsea see a lot a of potential in Casadei and at €15m, consider him as a gamble quite affordable. Further on, manager Thomas Tuchel could also be benefitted by the addition of more young legs in his midfield.
