Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to £80million for Manchester United’s transfer targets Edinson Cavani and Nathaniel Clyne as he looks to strengthen his squad.
Despite guiding his side to Premier League title with three games to spare, Mourinho feels there is a need to further strengthen his squad as he is looking for European glory in the coming season.
With Diego Costa getting injured quite often and Didier Drogba and Loic Remy being ineffective might be the reason for Mourinho to bid a whopping £55million for the PSG star Edinson cavani.
However, PSG are tough nut to crack as they are not ready to sell their star despite interested from Manchester United and Chelsea as president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is desperate to keep him.
He said, “As for Cavani, I’ve not met him yet, but he’s still young, he’s the future of the club. He just needs more confidence, but he showed his talent in the last game. He’ll be here again next year. We won’t even consider any offers.”
Chelsea are also considering a move for Southampton’s right-back Nathaniel Clyne as he might be a valuable addition to Chelsea’s defense amid speculation that Branislav Ivanovic drawing interest from Bayern Munich.
Chelsea are ready to offer another £25million for the young defender who have also drawn interest from Manchester United as he recently turned down new contract offered by Southampton.
