Chelsea have been keeping tabs on young Brazilian striker Jonathan Calleri, who has now confirmed that he is all set to leave his current club Boca Juniors in the upcoming transfer window, recent reports have confirmed.

The 22 year old superstar recently announced it himself that he will be leaving the Argentine club, which he joined in 2014.

The Blues have been monitoring his progress for quite some time now and might consider making an offer in January, if they wish to strengthen their squad further.

The attacker has been recently linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, after really impressing in the club’s title winning campaign.

On the other hand, Jose Mourinho’s side have really struggled this season and are looking for inspiration from somewhere.

Further, there have been recent speculations of Diego Costa’s possible exit from west London, after his recent rift with the Portuguese boss.

 

The youngster added to these speculations about him linking him with a move to London after recently he wrote on social media a message which read as, “Thank you for everything and goodbye.”

It will be interesting to see whether Mourinho does consider signing him, as he already has a long list of players who are currently out on loan at various clubs.

Further, the Premier League champs currently have Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao amongst their ranks, apart from Costa and if the latter decides to move away in the new year, then the Chelsea boss might really have to consider his options at
that point of time.
