Chelsea Roundup: Huge Update On Star Duo Future, Swedish Youngster Lined Up And More

Chelsea has had a difficult start under new manager Antonio Conte as they have failed to land their targets in the summer transfer window and have faced few difficulties in the opening weeks.

However, Conte has switched the system to 3-5-2 in an attempt to make their defense more solid which has helped Blues achieve six consecutive games in Premier League as they have demolished Manchester United 4-0 and Everton by 5-0 at Stamford Bridge. The Blues will be hoping to continue their good form in the coming weeks as they have a genuine chance to challenge for Premier League this season.

Here we look at all the stories around Chelsea today.

Liverpool defender Joel Matip has hailed Chelsea striker Diego Costa as one of the toughest players in the league this season.

The Spaniard has been in sensational form this season as he has already scored 10 goals  for the Blues across all the competitions. The 28-year old has also scored the solo goal against Liverpool in their 2-1 defeat to the Reds.

When asked about his most challenging opponent, Matip said: “There are a lot of tough players in this league. He didn’t play well against us, but Costa is a great player.”

“PSG have been in contact with AIK numerous times but there is no offer on the table right now,” the source said to ESPN.

“Inside the club, Chelsea are the favourites and have already proposed €11 million.”

Chelsea manager Conte has found it incredible to see Victor Moses out of the team at Stamford Bridge for so many years as the talented winger has taken up a new role as a wing back in the Italian’s new system this season.

The 25-year old has been brought into the first team this season by Conte and the 25-year old is relishing his role as he became a prominent member.

“I recognised his potential right from day one of preseason,” Conte told Gazzetta dello Sport. “Moses has great quality, technique, physical strength and the ability to cover 70 metres of the pitch. I find it incredible that somebody like him could have been underrated.”

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has insisted that he is not keen to sell Cesc Fabregas and Oscar as the duo has a key role to play at the club.

The pair has struggled to find proper playing time this season as Fabregas is linked with AC Milan while Oscar is constantly linked to Juventus.

“It’s gossip, I’m not going to send them away. They’re important players for Chelsea,” Conte told Gazzetta dello Sport.
