Chelsea midfielder Willian has confirmed the move of Oscar to Chinese Super League side Shangai SIPG as the latter is expected to leave once the January transfer window opens.
The talented winger has wished his fellow countryman lot of success in China as Oscar is set to become the marquee signing of the season in the league.
“[Oscar] has already said goodbye. He’s a good friend and a great player,” Willian told ESPN Brasil.
“I wish him and his family all the best. A footballer’s career can be quick, and when an offer like this comes in you have to think of your family. You want to be prepared for when you have to stop playing.”
