Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek amusingly stated that talkSPORT host Laura Woods is his celebrity crush. The Blues’ man confessed as the two were having a radio conversation. A game of Chelsea SOS was played by Loftus-Cheek and Woods prior to Chelsea’s Saturday matchup with Aston Villa. Loftus-Cheek was asked to choose a player or manager from the past or present who came to mind when certain circumstances occurred.
Before Saturday’s game against Aston Villa, Graham Potter’s team’s first following the international break, the host of The Breakfast Show sat down with the midfielder. Despite the enormous size of the Blues’ current roster, the 27-year-old would frequently turn to a few key players.

Chelsea midfielder comes up with hilarious answers to Woods’ questions
On Wednesday morning, Loftus-Cheek, 27, joined Woods on the radio and engaged in a fun Q&A. The Chelsea man was tasked with answering a number of hilarious yet intriguing questions. Yet the crucial question was asked by Woods at the very conclusion of the interview.
The question Woods lobbed at Loftus-Cheek was also recently lobbed at Anthony Joshua. The TV presenter asked the Chelsea midfielder: Who is your celebrity crush?
Watch out Jay-Z: the British boxing champion claimed Beyonce is his ideal girlfriend. Loftus-Cheek, however, had a more interesting answer, which might even have caused butterflies in Woods’ stomach. After pausing to consider his response, Loftus-Cheek snapped: “Laura Woods!”
While it was all in joke, Woods, who had burst out into laughter replied: “An exceptional answer! It’s been an absolute pleasure and I’ll get your number later!”
The England international responded when asked who he would trust to assist him in coming up with a reason to be late for training: “Maybe Hakim [Ziyech]. That’s my boy. I know he’d sort it out, he’ll get it done.”
He was then questioned by Woodsy about whether the Moroccan was sneaky or dependable, which caused Loftus-Cheek to respond: “Trustworthy.”

When the Chelsea midfielder was asked who he would trust to manage his stag party, Ziyech was brought up again since the World Cup semifinalist reportedly already has night out planning on his resume. But, some Chelsea supporters might be surprised by Loftus-Cheek’s selection for dating counsel. He said:
“Maybe [Marc] Cucurella. I need some advice on how to make her laugh.”
And when Loftus-Cheek was asked to choose a quiz show partner, the Spaniard was once more chosen. Loftus-Cheek laughed:
“Cucurella. I’m thinking more for the bants.”
The Londoner was then asked by Woods who he would least like to be stuck in a lift with. He said:
“It’s got to be a manager because that’d be really awkward. Maybe Antonio Conte.”
Antonio Conte was at the helm at Chelsea for two seasons between 2016 to 2018. The Italian did a commendable job at Stamford Bridge, delivering a Premier League title and a FA Cup. He was recently back in London, managing Chelsea’s rivals Tottenham after a brief spell at Inter Milan. However, Spurs recently sacked him after the manager decided to go berserk against his players and the club owners in his post-match presser of the Southampton game before the international break.
Meanwhile, In 27 appearances this season in all competitions, Loftus-Cheek has contributed just one assist. Yet, rumours claim that AC Milan have been keeping tabs on him. Chelsea need to offload a good chunk of players this summer after spending £600m across the last summer and winter transfer windows to balance their financial books. It might have to be a long-distance relationship if Loftus-Cheek were to start dating Woods and amidst it, he leaves the country for a foreign club.
