Chelsea vs Leicester City Preview: Team news, predicted lineups, key stats, betting odds, prediction
Chelsea will be looking to continue their winning momentum when they welcome reigning Premier League Champions Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Blues’ campaign was looking in disarray after they failed to win in three consecutive matches. They drew 2-2 against Swansea City before losing 1-2 to Liverpool and 3-0 to Arsenal. But their campaign was back on track after a 2-0 win against Hull City before the international break. More importantly, it was only the second time that they managed to keep a clean sheet.
On the other hand, Leicester has made a poor start to the defense of their title. With only 2 wins in the first seven games, the Foxes are lying at the twelfth position in the table. Moreover, they have struggled more in away fixtures. They are yet to win a single point away from home this term.
Both the teams have already met once this season when the Blues came back from 0-2 down to win 4-2 against the Foxes in the EFL Cup. Leicester dominated that game early on and it will be very interesting to see how they perform at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday as they seek to register their first win at Chelsea after failing to win in their last six games.
Veteran defender John Terry is expected to make a return to the playing eleven after participating in full training on Thursday. The former England international was out of action for the last month after injuring his ankle in the 2-2 draw against Swansea City. Willian will miss the game after he was allowed to travel to Brazil after his mother died.

While their form has not been good, the availability of all key players will give a lot of confidence to Claudio Ranieri. Shinji Okazaki, who scored a brace against the Blues in the EFL Cup this season, has recovered from his ankle injury and the only absentee for the Foxes will be the new signing Nampalys Mendy.
