With January coming near, the transfer rumours have been flying all around the globe with the recent one involving a north London club and a certain Mexican who has been a highlight in the German League this season.
Boxingday saw Arsenal failing to capitalize on their terrific run and lose to the Saints by 4 goals. This was the first loss for the Gunners in their last five games and as a result Wenger’s men end the year with a 2nd position in the league two points behind table toppers Leicester. Though the boss blamed poor referring for the loss, the defeat calls for some introspection and in that light the Frenchman is eyeing an ex Manchester United star to add more firepower to the Arsenal line up.
Javier Hernandez left Manchester United for Bayern Leverkusen after 3 years with the Red Devils and has been a shining light for the German Club. In his 14 league games, Chicharito has scored 11 goals and his time away from England; the Mexican has risen to new heights.
With the former United forward displaying scintillating form no doubt the Frenchman wants him with sources also confirming that the Mexican wants a move back to the Premier League.
Another star on the Arsenal shopping list is Riyad Mahrez. With Tottenham and Manchester United, Arsenal’s name also gets added to the list of clubs who are after the Leicester star but in all probability Leicester City will hold on to the frontman for the rest of the season. While Mahrez and Hernandez are just candidates that the North London club is eyeing, a sure move that is set to be completed next month involves Basel mid fielder Mohamed Eleny for 7 million pounds.
If there are new inductees in the club, there would surely be potential exits and one player who is likely to leave the Emirates stadium soon is Mathieu Debuchy who has lost his position in the team to Hector Bellerin and a loan move to West Brom next month seems highly likely.
