Chelsea fans suffered a major setback yesterday when the news of Diego Costa leaving the club surfaced all around the web. News was based on Costa’s inability to adapt to life in London and struggling to cope up with the weather and climate.

However, Costa has put all those doubts to bed by committing his long-term stay with the club after the Spanish striker released an official statement where he explained how he loves the Chelsea football club, its fans and the league in general.

Costa has vowed to stay with the blues beyond next season and expects win more silverware under Jose Mourinho.

Costa said: “[It is] quite a simple answer. It’s always a bit more difficult in the first season for adaptation, but I have no reason to leave this place, I love it, the fans love me and I want to stay.”

Costa and his Chelsea teammates are in Australia to play some post-season friendlies. Chelsea walked away with a 1-0 win over Sydney FC. After the match Diego Costa addressed the media explaining the fuss over the rumors linking him away from the club.
