Conte : I Am Surprised This Chelsea Player Was Ignored For So Long 1

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea has been playing some irresistible football this season in the premier league. With no European action this season, the blues sit on the top of the table after 12 games played so far in the league. They have now won six straight matches without conceding a single goal which is quite extraordinary. It is believed that Antonio Conte has found the right formula for Chelsea and his players are showing it on the field. And the reason behind Conte’s recent success at Stamford Bridge is his new formation 3-4-3 which is working out extremely well with the Blues.

Victor Moses has been a  key part of Conte’s team ever since Conte has switched to his new formation. The West London club was struggling at the start of the season with a 4-2-3-1 formation and they suffered heavy losses at the hands of Liverpool and Arsenal. It was then Conte switched to his favourite 3 at the back tactic with Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso playing wing backs. Moses did not have a good time in his last three seasons at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United.

Antonio Conte instantly felt that Moses should be involved in the starting line up and is shocked that a player like Victor Moses was ignored in the Chelsea camp for so long. He also told that he noticed the Nigerian’s potential right from the summer retreat and wanted him in the wing back position.

Conte quoted “I noticed his potential from the first days of the summer retreat

Moses has important qualities: technique, physical strength, the ability to cover seventy metres of the pitch.

‘I find it incredible that someone like him has been overlooked.”

Moses saw himself loaned every year when Jose Mourinho was there but the 2012/13 signing now seems to have found a permanent place in the Chelsea line up.
