Atletico Madrid have forked out £ 24.8 million for Martinez and will want to make a title charge after they failed to defend their 2013-2014 seasons title from the hands of Barcelona.
The Treble winners last sesaon, Barcelona lost an important part of their midlfield after Xavi retired from the club. But they have bought themsleves the Atletico star Arda Turan and will hope to replace the void left by the legend.
