Chelsea’s number one goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois missed Belgium’s tie against Netherlands on Wednesday with a problem in his eye. Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet started the match ahead of him in the Amsterdam Arena as Thibaut Courtois was seen sitting on the bench.

But good news for Chelsea fans who were worried about Courtois problem that Courtois has announced on twitter that there is no problem with his eye. He also told in his tweet that the eye problem does not affect his goalkeeping much to the joy of the Chelsea fans all across the world.

Courtois tweeted “‘Everything’s ok with my eye, had it for 2 weeks and doesn’t effect my goalkeeping”

Chelsea has been in fine form off late as they have won their last 5 games on the bounce. Chelsea have played some of their best football since their last loss against Arsenal. The blues boss Antonio Conte would be relieved by the news of Courtois’s fitness as Courtois has been an important part of their campaign so far. Chelsea has scored 16 goals so far and conceded none since switching to their new formation of 3-4-3. Courtois has not had much to do but have excelled whenever called into action. He has been instrumental in Chelsea’s recent performances which sees them sit comfortably at the second spot securing 25 points from 11 games.

Courtois is a top keeper and would be hoping to get back into action as soon as possible. Chelsea next face Middlesbrough and Tottenham for which the Belgian goalkeeper would be like to be fit. At the same time, Chelsea would be hoping to continue their fine run under new boss Antonio Conte and get to the top of the table. Chelsea has no champions league football this year which means they can concentrate well on winning the league this year.
