Cristiano Ronaldo will return to training with Manchester United with full professionalism amidst his search for a new club.
The Portuguese forward has told the club he wants to leave, in order to continue to play in the UEFA Champions League. Further on, United’s lack of solid recruitment so far in the transfer market has added to Ronaldo’s disappointment as well.
However, the former Real Madrid player is yet to find a new suitor, after unfortunately being rejected by as many as half-a-dozen clubs so far.

But after three weeks of absence, Ronaldo has finally showed up to United’s Carrington training base along with his agent Jorge Mendes in order to hold face to face talks with Erik ten Hag.
Cristiano Ronaldo takes part in his first training session under Ten Hag
Ronaldo had abstained from travelling with the United squad for their preseason tours in Thailand and Australia. The striker with his agent Mendes held initial talks with several clubs in that period to facilitate a transfer.
Chelsea, Bayern Munich, PSG, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid were all approached by Mendes for Cristiano Ronaldo’s signing. While none of them anticipated a move, Atletico however have shown interest in taking the 37-year-old.
Ronaldo meanwhile returned to Carrington on the morning of July 25 to train for the first time under new boss Erik ten Hag. Reports tell that the number-7 trained as usual with full commitment under the watch of Ten Hag.
The player then sat with the coach and other members from the club to sort out his future. The meeting was actually held for Ten Hag to try and persuade Ronaldo to stay at the club.

Ten Hag, according to several reports has failed to reverse Ronaldo’s decision who stood firmly by his wish to leave the club for Champions League football.
Nonetheless, Cristiano Ronaldo has assured the club he will report to training sessions until he finds his next destination. Further on, he has also conveyed his readiness to take the field for United’s remaining preseason friendlies against Atletico and Rayo Vallecano.
On the other hand, United too have accepted Ronaldo’s final decision and are ready to part ways with him. Mendes has now started renegotiating a deal for his client with Chelsea, Bayern and Atletico.
