Cutting Edge Events Named Exclusive Sales Agency For FIFA 2018 World Cup

New Delhi, Feb 24 (IANS) After being named the exclusive sales agency in India for the 2018 football World Cup, Cutting Edge Events President Mayank Khandwala on Friday hoped to have more than 2,000 fans flying in from the country to watch the matches in Russia next year.

With an experience of handling major tournaments like the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups, ICC cricket World Cups in 2011 and 2015, Khandwala said, the number of fans has increased exponentially over the past six-seven years.

“If we compare it from the 2010 edition in South Africa, the number increased almost 10 times in Brazil in 2014, so this time we are expecting almost the same kind of enthusiasm from the Indian fans for the upcoming edition in Russia,” Khandwala told reporters here after the announcement.

“Cutting Edge is honoured and privileged to act as the exclusive sales agent in India for the sale of the 2018 FIFA World Cup official hospitality programme”.

“We have pledged to bring sports fans in India closer to the most coveted football competition in the world, by providing fans with a unique opportunity to purchase ticket-inclusive hospitality packages to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, as well as offering a comprehensive range of travel packages including accommodation, transportation and sightseeing,” he added.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup official hospitality programme offers various levels of hospitality products designed for varied service levels and benefits.
