After ignoring the talented Shinji Kagawa for most of Manchester United‘s troubled league campaign, David Moyes has planned to all-but-alienate the former Borussia Dortmund playmaker in the Manchester  United dressing room.

A day after the current Manchester United crop sinked to an all-time low with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Greek side Olympiakos, David Moyes thought it would be a good idea for the players to bond over dinner in an attempt to lift the team morale after tuesday night’s disappointment. Moyes handpicked the ‘Tandoori Royale’ restaurant in the Manchester City Centre, one of the most famous Indian restaurants in the United Kingdom. Seems like the gaffer was in the mood for some hot Indian curry!

But the evening took an uncomfortable turn when Moyes consistently ignored Shinji Kagawa’s attempts to explain the various Indian delicacies on offer, instead asking England winger Ashley Young on the relative merits of fish tikka and chicken pakora.

Kagawa, who stays in the neighbourhood, has been frequenting the restaurant for over a year, and was all-too-keen to make sure the manager and his teammates try out the best dishes.

“It was a rather awkward moment”, a senior United player, speaking on condition of anonymity, told to SPORTZWIKI. “Shinji’s mid-way through explaining why the Chicken Bharta might be a better option compared to the Chicken Tikka Masala on account of the latter being a little too sweet, but the boss completely turns his back on Shinji, instead asking Ashley whether the chicken tandoori is nice here.”

“When Ashley says he has never tried the Chicken Tandoori here, the boss turns to Antonio Valencia and asks him whether the nans are soft and supple, and Shinji clearly felt left out. Antonio had a puzzled expression on his face, as he clearly didn’t have any idea what a nan is.”

“The situation’s crying out for Shinji, but the gaffer then asks Juan Mata the difference between a Chicken Reshmi Kabab and Chicken Tikka Kabab, which isn’t fair on someone who has been brought up on Tapas, Tortilla Espaniola or Paella.”

“In the end, the boss just gives the menu to Tom Cleverley, and asks him to call the shots. But like in recent matches, Tom just passes the menu sideways!”

“And we all end up having a really awful curry!”

The evening took a turn for the worse when Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez complained that he didn’t get an opportunity to make his desired order, and worsened further when after an argument about the bill, Moyes just asked Januzaj to step up and ‘bail’ United out.

Last heard, a five-figure amount was transferred from Adnan Januzaj‘s credit card. Poor lad!
