David Moyes wants to make Manchester United star his first signing at Sunderland
Sunderland were struck a blow when it was announced that the adorable Sam Allardyce would leave the club to take charge of the English national side.
But the club has acted quickly to land former Manchester United manager David Moyes to take over the Stadium of Light outfit next season and the new manager is already plotting to dive into the Manchester United squad for his first signings at Sunderland.
David Moyes, who was welcomed by the fans of the new club with positive messages, now wants to add Manchester United star Adnan Januzaj to his Sunderland squad ahead of the next season.
The 21-year old has not been able to impress any of the coaches at the club in the last two years and is out of favour at the club. It was revealed earlier that the new manager at Old Trafford, Jose Mourinho is happy to see him leave but only on a loan.
And David Moyes, who handed the winger his debut in a United shirt wants him to play for Sunderland on loan for the next season.
Having made more than 30 appearances under Moyes, Januzaj spent a lot of time away on loan and has not really been able to establish himself as a top class player in his position. However, he has loads of potential and will be a great fit for a side like Sunderland.
His time at Borussia Dortmund was also not productive but David Moyes thinks that he is a player who has great potential and is now looking to sign him from Manchester United. He will surely play a role in the starting XI at Sunderland and will get far more game time than at Old Trafford.
At just 21, Januzaj needs all the playing time he can get under his belt to realize his potential and he will not be able to play a huge role under Jose Mourinho next season so it is better for him to move away from the club and get a chance to prove himself in a team that will play to its strengths.
David Moyes, though was not a success at Old Trafford is a decent manager who can get the best out of his players and if Janujaz can get his confidence back, he can be the player he promised to be at the start of his Manchester United career.
Do you think United should keep hold of Adnan Januzaj this summer?
