Deal Confirmed: Medical Soon, Manchester United To Complete Transfer This Week 1

Manchester United youngster Sean Goss is set to have a medical at Queens Park Rangers ahead of January move.

The Red Devils have accepted a bid for the 21-year-old from the Championship side according to West London Sport.

Goss  will now travel down to London for a medical and to discuss personal terms ahead of completing a January move.

The versatile midfielder, who can also play at left-back, joined the club from Exeter City back in 2012 for an undisclosed fee and has been likened to Michael Carrick.

He has featured regularly for the reserves but suffered a back injury last season which has stunted his progress with the club.

However, Goss appeared closer to a breakthrough his term after impressing sufficiently enough to be invited to train with the first-team by Jose Mourinho and has put in some key displays for the Under-23 side.

The 21-year-old still has not made a single appearances for the first team but has been an unused substitute for the club.

However, he now looks set to continue his future elsewhere with QPR believed to be one of a number of Championship clubs who have expressed an interest.

QPR are currently 17th in the table after 27 games having sacked manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink back in November with Ian Holloway back in charge at Loftus Road.

Goss is highly-rated at United and many fans will be disappointed to see him depart particularly with the club yet to find a replacement for the influential Carrick who is nearing the end of his career.

The midfielder’s contract expires at the end of the season, although he is expected to sign another one-year deal to prolong his stay at Old Trafford.

Goss’ injury last season was a real blow for the youngster but to progress he really needs first-team football and it seems unlikely that he will get that currently at Old Trafford.
