Antonio Conte’s Chelsea will be on cloud nine after they managed to take all three points from their trip to the Etihad in the last round of the Premier League.
They are currently at the top of the Premier League table, 3 points off Arsenal in second place and are easily one of the strongest teams in the competition. The lack of European football will also help their cause, but the manager is not entirely satisfied with the options at his disposal and is looking add a few players to his squad in January.
A number of star players have been linked with a move to the club recently but Conte is now reportedly pondering over a move for one of his loanees in January.
Young Belgium midfielder Charly Musonda is one of the most exciting youngsters in the domestic circuit in his country and was snapped up by the Stamford Bridge outfit at the start of the previous year from Anderlecht after being impressed with his returns for the club.

However, he is yet to make a senior appearance for Chelsea and was immediately loaned out to Real Betis, a La Liga outfit, where he showed his class in the previous season, impressing immensely in an attacking role in the 18 appearances he got in all competitions in Spain.
His returns saw Antonio Conte send him back to Spain for yet another loan stint but Musonda has just not been able to get a place back in the squad and has made just 8 appearances in all competitions this season.
He has been impressive at times but Antonio Conte is now adamant that he is being wasted in Spain and is on the verge of bringing him back to the Bridge in January.
The player spoke about his chances of returning to club early last month and revealed that he has never spoken to the new manager at Chelsea.

There’s feedback with people from Chelsea,” he said.
“I’ve never actually been in direct contact with Antonio Conte, but the club are keeping an eye on their players’ performances,” he added.
However, reports suggest that the 20-year old is currently in London and that he will not be returning back to Spain.
Chelsea are now looking to cut-short his loan deal in January as Conte looks to add some back-up to his first team players at the club.
He has been struggling with a few injuries recently but at his age, he will only get better and Conte is now resolved that he can get the best of the 20-year old at the club.
It is understood that Real Betis and Chelsea are in the closing stages of terminating the contract which will make Musonda a Chelsea player and he will be hoping to get his first senior start for Chelsea before the end of the season.
Musonda is one of the 38 players out on loan from Chelsea. Who else do you think can get back to the Chelsea squad to make a difference in January?
