Indian Super League franchise Delhi Dynamos have struck a deal with former Lyon and Chelsea winger Florent Malouda, according to Goal India.
Malouda, who was last playing for FC Metz in the Ligue 1, is the latest addition to the squad of the capital-based outfit, who have signed many high profile players this season.
After coming through the youth ranks of ASC Remire, Malouda played for the likes of Chateauroux and Guingamp, before joining Lyon in 2003. During his four-year stay at the club, he won the French league each season. The Frenchman went on to join Chelsea in the summer of 2007 and won one Premier League, three FA Cups and the 2011-12 Champions League before parting ways in 2013.
He is a highly experienced international having 80 caps for France. He scored 9 goals for Les Bleus.
Malouda was a key player for Chelsea and appeared 228 for the Blues in all competitions and scored 45 goals providing 43 assists.
He was awarded Chelsea Players’ Player of the Year in 2009-10.
He won 1 Premier League, 3 FA Cups, 1 FA Community Shield and 1 UEFA Champions League at Stamford Bridge.He previously won 4 Ligue 1 titles at Lyon also.
Dynamos will start their ISL campaign on 4th October when they travel to the coastal state of Goa to lock horns with Zico’s side.
