Manchester United young midfielder Andrea Pereira has rejected recent advances from PSG and now is all set to renew his current contract with Manchester United. Pereira looked certain to leave Old Trafford next season but recent run of games in the U-21 side has made him change his mind.
There were initial reports of PSG willing to triple Pereira’s wages to lure him out of Manchester United. The Belgian has been as one of the finest prospects to have joined United’s academy in recent times. United were given a real scare when Pereira decided to snub the first contract offer made by the club.
The 19-year-old midfielder has many admirers around the world including Juventus, Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven. Juventus star and former United player Paul Pogba even made a personal appeal to Pereira in a bid to force his move away from Old Trafford.
Despite all the efforts, Pereira looks set to extend his stay at the club and force his move in to Manchester United’s first team. Louis Van Gaal would not want to repeat the mistake which Sir Alex Ferguson committed by letting go Paul Pogba 4 seasons ago.
Pereira is eyed as one of future stars and Manchester United want to make the most of his skills by agreeing an extended stay with the player. The official news of Pereira agreeing a new deal with Manchester United will be announced later this week.
