Jose Mourinho bought Eden Hazard back to the starting line-up for the Champions League encounter against the Ukrainian outfit Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday. However, they could not build on their victory against Villa in the weekend and could only muster a draw on the day.
Here are the player ratings for the Dynamo Kyiv vs Chelsea match
Dynamo Kyiv:
Shovkovskiy (3): Made a series of important saves including the effort to keep out Eden Hazard’s shot on to the post.
Danilo Silva (3): Was sound and solid at the back as he never gave Chelsea space down the flank. Did not provide much in terms of attack.
Khacheridi (3): Got the better of Diego Costa for most of the game as he rarely put a foot wrong on the day. Won almost everything in the air.
Dragovic (2.5): Showed his lack of pace at times but did well most of the time to clean up after being beaten.
Vida (3.5): A very solid defensive display giving Chelsea no time on the ball in front of the back four. Also burst out to add to attacks whenever he could.
Rybalka (2): Should have conceded a penalty for the trip on Fabregas but made amends with an important block on Hazard that denied Chelsea all three points.
Sydorchuk (2.5): Was lost in possession and gave away the ball too many times. Could have done better when defending.
Yarmolenko (2.5): Was exciting whenever he had the ball as he tried to make things happen but more often than not let his team down.
Buyalsky (2): Hardly troubled the Chelsea defense in the game and had two tame shots that were too easy for Begovic
González (2.5): Made some marauding late runs into the box creating panic in the Chelsea ranks but could not apply the finish as needed.
Kravets (2): Was rarely seen in the game as he was out-done by the Chelsea centre-backs. Should have done more to relieve the pressure on the home side.

Chelsea:
Asmir Begovic (3): Was not troubled except for two shots that produce fine saves. Was confident in handling the air balls.
Kurt Zouma (2.5): Got booked for a late challenge and hardly provided anything going forward. Sound defensively otherwise.
Gary Cahill (3): Made challenge after challenge to keep the hosts away from his goal. An assured performance at centre back.
John Terry (3): Provided great cover for his goal as he never allowed the Kyiv attackers any time on the ball.
Cesar Azpilicueta (3.5): Defended his flank solidly as he allowed no Kyiv player to go past. Also did exceptionally well when on the attack.
Ramires (2.5): Was sound in defense as he was full of pressing in the middle of the park. Could have done a lot better with the ball as he often slowed down the Chelsea attacks.
Nemanja Matic (3): An excellent defensive display as he threw himself at the opponents giving them no breathing space and winning the ball time and again.
Willian (3): Got close to scoring with a sweet free-kick that hit the cross-bar. Was a complete performance as he made things happen when on the ball.
Cesc Fabregas (2.5): Had a decent game in an attacking position in the middle as he troubled the defenders at times when he got the ball. Unlucky not to have got a penalty.
Eden Hazard (3.5): Hit the post once and bought out a number of saves from the home team’s keeper. Was full of energy and skill down the flank as he put in a man of the match performance after being dropped in the previous game.
Diego Costa (2.5): Was often on his own up-front as he failed to link with any of his mid-field players. But a hard working display nonetheless.
