The fixture of the day was a bit of a let-down as after Branislav Ivanović pit Chelsea ahead in the 45 minute it was all defending. Until 3 minutes from time when Victor Anichebe played the villain and snatched a late equalizer from the current group leaders.
Wednesday saw the return of Robin Van Persie to the Emirates, unfortunately though for him, the game between Arsenal and Manchester United ended in a stalemate. Speaking of stalemates, Stoke city drew with Swansea city as they both battle it out to avoid relegation. The last game of Wednesday saw it go down right to the last 2 minutes. After coming back from a goal down twice, Liverpool showed great character to toil and come away with the 3 points.
Coming weekend is FA Cup weekend while the top -4 play each other in the next round. Few premier league teams will field their first-choice players as seen since the past few years young players get a taste of first-team action.
