Arguably this is going to be the most anticipated match of the 25thgame week. The battle of the League leaders and the fourth place Merseysiders at this stage of the league always remains very interesting, and we are expecting to see a tremendous game.

Arsenal is the only team against whom the SAS partnership could not score any goals this season. Liverpool dropped two silly points in the last game at the Hawthorns against West Brom so they cannot afford to miss any points in this game as the boss Brendon Rodgers explained his strategy earlier to have an average of keeping two points from each game in the race for their Champions League credentials. On the other hand, the visitors could not afford to lose any point either as both Chelsea and Manchester City have comparatively easier games, if Arsene Wenger’s men lose any point in this match they might fall down from leading position of the table.

What to Expect From This Match

It would not be enough surprising if the same result repeats like the one at the Emirates, a 2-0 win for Arsenal. Neither of the two reliable defenders of Liverpool are coming back in the next fixture which is almost confirmed. Martin Skrtel is doing a great job at the defense but Kolo Toure has had awful outings recently. If the same defense lines up remains against Arsenal, Liverpool might not be able to get any points at home on Saturday. Mikel Arteta, Jack Wilshare and Thomas Vermaelen are coming back against Liverpool according to reports, so undoubtedly Arsenal are favorite to win at Anfield this Saturday.

Players to Watch Out For

EPL Match Preview – Liverpool vs. Arsenal 1

Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool) – The English international has scored in all occasions after his return. The question is, would he be able to score against Arsenal too? The SAS partnership of Liverpool is currently the most dangerous forward partnership in the world which is very difficult for any defense to deal with. The 24 year old has already managed fourteen goals in sixteen occasions in this year in the league. I would say that no matter how tough the defense of Arsenal is, they might struggle to stop SAS.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal) – The 20 year old stunned the World as he netted the ball twice against Crystal Palace in the previous game week. It was just his fifth appearance of this season and he did it in style. Now, it would be very interesting to see how performs against a stronger opponent. Can he do the same thing again which did last week?

Predicted Lineups

Liverpool – Liverpool need to one change before anything, they must replace Kolo Toure with someone else. But they have no other choices but to play him as both of their left centre backs are injured and not coming back by this week. One change is still possible, Jordan Henderson whose performance was not up to the mark might be replaced by Joe Allen.

Arsenal – Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger might play the same team as last week as might not want to break his winning eleven, however, Mikel Arteta, Thomas Vermaelen and Jack Wilshare might be seen on the bench.
