There is nothing more dangerous than a wounded animal. If this is to be believed Norwich City are in for a lot of undesirable incidents this weekend. And if the reverse fixture was anything to go by, a 7-0 thrashing in November at the Etihad Stadium, it’s not going to be a pleasant sight for every Norwich City faithful.

A defeat at the hands of title-rivals Chelsea at home last week cost Manchester City a chance to go top of the table. This also ended a 20-match unbeaten run for City, who had scored in their previous 61 home league games prior to their loss.

Norwich on the other hand, have been woeful in their form lately with their latest defeat coming against relegation rivals Cardiff City. Just points off the relegation zone and in 15th place, it’s all looking gloom for Norwich.

Team News:

Manchester City might once again be without the services of Fernandinho in central midfield along with Samir Nasri, Javi Garcia and their main man Sergio Aguero.

Norwich on the other hand will be without Ryan Bennett who is doubtful with a thigh problem along with Micheal Turner and midfielder Jonny Howson who are still doubtful for the home side.

What to expect:

Manchester City might again have a chance to go top of the table should Arsenal fail to win at Anfield in the early kick off against Liverpool and in any case they cannot afford to be dropping points against lower placed clubs. Norwich City in the form they’re displaying don’t seem like causing an upset either so this should be an easy win for the boys from Manchester which will resume normal services in Pelligrini’s empire.

Prediction:

The Citizens should get a routine victory at Carrow Road and can also muster up a clean sheet.

Norwich City 0 – 2 Manchester City
