The winter transfer window is approaching and it churns up the standard fare or rumours but this is one of the other kind, referring to the kits worn by the players instead. Every year Chelsea fans adorn the Royal Blue and have been given a decent set of kits by Adidas over the years, staying classy with the home and away kits while going as radical as possible with the third. The next season is going to be along the same lines if the kit leaks are true.

If the badge on the kit doesn’t make it obvious that Chelsea’s mascot is a lion, the motifs spread across the shirt will definitely do as Adidas makes the most radical changes to the kit template yet. The stripes adorning the shoulder will now have a new home along the sides on the kit. The ugly “tyres” from the sponsor’s decal has been dropped for good and along with it goes the red colour on the stylised Y of Yokohama. It’s a welcome and desirable change from the current season’s kit and should be very well received by the fans. Overall the kits are classy, elegant and sport clean lines as we have come to expect from Adidas’ recent offerings for the Blues.

The home kit is the standard Royal Blue and is easily recognisable. The shifted stripes looking surprisingly good once you overcome the unfamiliarity.

The away kit is the cleanest and the classiest amongst the lot and is coloured white as we have come to expect over the years. It is always a toss-up between yellow and white over the recent years.

The third kit is radical to say the least with the colouring giving it a hosiery look which seems refreshing if not a bit different or weird, depending on who you ask.

The shown kits will almost definitely not have the golden BPL patches but could they be the ones in which the Blues reclaim them?
