Jurgen Klopp’s side travelled to the Vicarage Road Stadium to face off against Watford in the Premier League on Sunday, as they looked to keep their hopes for a title challenge alive after a couple of draws in the previous two games in all competitions. However, things did not go according to what the German manager might have expected from his team, as his side could not deliver the much needed win on the night. The home side took the lead quite early, as they scored in just the 3rd minute of the match, when Nathan Ake put one into the back of the Reds’ net after Adam Bogdan made a huge error in the game, who was played in place of Belgian international Simon Mignolet.
Odion Ighalo added a second goal for his team in the 15th minute of the game which stunned the Merseyside club, though there were no more goals from the chances created in the first half, as they went into the break at 2-0. The second period produced some more chances which were not taken, before the Nigerian international added a second towards the end of the game on the 85th minute.
The away side could once again not cope up with the expectations of the Kop boss and the fans, as they ended up suffering a huge 3-0 defeat against Quique Sanchez Flores’ side, who totally dominated the game and were clear winners.
Here are the reactions of the fans on Twitter after the game ended in a loss for the visitors:
