Mexico midfielder Andres Guardado taunted Neymar after Brazil’s elimination from the FIFA World Cup 2018 on Friday night.
Earlier Neymar mocked Mexico after their exit from the World Cup.
Brazil beat Mexico 2-0 to knock them out in the round of 16. In the post-match press conference, Neymar said,
“They talked too much, and now they are going home.”
Tensions between the two sides did not end there. Mexico star, Layun criticised Neymar back over his theatrics on the field. He said,
“He is football. If he does not want to be touched he should try doing something else. He is more concerned about being on the floor. If he wants to lie down, he should go home and sleep.”
But the Selecao were undone by Belgium in the quarter-finals. After the defeat, Guardado took to social media in the aftermath of Brazil’s loss to post a retort to Neymar. He wrote in his Instagram story,
“And now who is going home?”

Neymar was responsible for just one of Brazil’s nine shots on target, as they crashed out against Belgium.
It left him with just two goals to show for his efforts in Russia. Belgium will go on to play France in the semi-final. The winner will go on to meet one of Sweden, England, Croatia or Russia.
It was the tactical masterstroke from Roberto Martinez that handed the Europeans their second ever last-four ticket. Martinez made few key changes to his tactics and choice of players to overrun the Brazilians in the first half.

A Fernandinho own goal and a rifle from Kevin De Bruyne secured a thrilling win for the Red Devils.
It was a good display of tactics by Martinez. He went with another system which showed the Brazilians weren’t expecting.
