Finally Some Good News For Liverpool Fans As In-Form Midfielder Pens New Anfield Deal

Since the turn of the year, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool seems to be slipping deeper and deeper into a hole that was glaringly evident even before the start of the season.

The German manager has tried his best to get the Liverpool side back to its best but the lack of quality and depth in the squad has now seen the Reds drop out of two domestic cup competitions in a matter of 4 days.

They are also struggling the Premier League having picked up just 2 points from the last three games and their recent defeat to League 2 side Wolverhampton Wanderers was nothing less than embarrassing.

So it was important for the Anfield outfit to give their fans something to rejoice after a frustrating month and reports today suggest that it might come in the form a contract extension for one of the star players.

Just days after playmaker Philippe Coutinho put pen to paper on a lucrative long-term contract with the club, midfielder Adam Lallana has now officially penned a new deal.

The English midfielder joined the club more than a couple of seasons ago after a productive time at the St Marys but he was not able to make a lasting impact in the last couple of seasons.

However, under Jurgen Klopp, Lallana, has got a renowned confidence that makes him one of the most inform midfielders in the league at the moment.

His return of 6 goals already is just two short of his best ever return in the top flight and he is also currently the most effective midfielder in the Premier League.

He is an important part of the squad at the club and Jurgen Klopp has been looking to get him to sign a new deal for a while now. So this new will come as a boost for the Liverpool fans who have had hardly anything to cheer about in the past couple of weeks.

Lallana, whose previous contract had less than 2 years before expiry, is committed to the club but has been attracting interests from French outfit PSG this January.

However, at 28, he is entering his prime as a football player and Jurgen Klopp is determined to keep him at the club.

It is understood that Lallana has signed a new 4-year contract that will keep him at the club till 2020/21 and will see him earn £120,000-a-week at the club, making him one of the highest-paid players at the club alongside Daniel Sturridge and James Milner.

Phillipe Coutinho with his new contract is the only player who earns more than the midfielder but Klopp is not done yet. He is still working on deals for Emre Can, while Joe Gomez has already penned a new deal.

Let’s hope that this new deal can get Liverpool back to their best.
