Celebrity chef David Fiore has praised Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez for their modesty. He recalled a day when the pair visited Casa Fiore restaurant while the forward was a player for Juventus. There is another side to Cristiano Ronaldo, who is frequently characterised as greedy and haughty.
Many such instances demonstrate the player’s humility and awareness of his heritage. The cook was rendered stunned by one such occurrence that happened in 2018 as the Al Nassr forward was having dinner at his restaurant. And Even though Cristiano Ronaldo is a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, he occasionally had to wait for a table at the restaurant.

In December 2018, Cristiano Ronaldo went out for a pre-Christmas supper with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez and his eldest son Cristiano Jr. However, the boss realised he was already booked solid for the evening after taking the phone and accepting the reservation for three at Casa Fiore in Turin.
Chef Davide Fiore reserved a table for the group at 9.30 p.m., counting on others to depart on time. Ronaldo and company, however, arrived 90 minutes earlier. But, they made no issue at all as Fiore described the global superstar a “decent boy.” The chef recalled:
“It is impossible to forget, it felt like being in a movie. While I was at home preparing for the evening service I get a call that I never expected. A person calls me to book a table of three for Cristiano Ronaldo, for 9.30pm. Obviously I immediately say yes, but then I think, ‘And now how do I do it?’
“I knew the place was already full, but given the time I was counting on the fact that a 7.30pm reservation would finish in time for 9.30pm. To be safe, I borrowed a table from a nearby restaurant and set it up in a corner. Cristiano, Georgina and their eldest son, Cristiano Jr, arrived at 8pm. And there I said to myself, ‘What now?’
“The customers were left speechless, no one spoke anymore. And above all, no one wanted to get up anymore, they were captured by CR7. So I made Cristiano sit in the emergency table, but time passed and nobody got up. Cristiano did not bat an eyelid and Georgina and her son like him. At that juncture I realised that Ronaldo, despite being a world star and the best player in the world, is first and foremost a decent boy.
Cristiano Ronaldo played for Juventus for three season, scoring an outstanding 101 goals in 134 appearances, before departing for Manchester United in the summer of 2021. The Portuguese superstar joined Saudi Pro League team Al-Nassr as a free agent last year, and he currently resides in Riyadh with his partner Georgina Rodriguez and the rest of his family.
