Former Arsenal and Manchester United star might return to Premier League 1

The Premier League, over the years has seen some of the best strikers in Europe battle it out in its ring and such memories are only getting better with more and more quality coming into the country.

The financial windfall that has stuck the league has seen clubs from around the country scout and sign some of the best talents in Europe making this season one of the most competitive one in recent times.

The likes of Diego Costa, Sergio Aguero, Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are all proven goal scorers and will be in the run in for the golden boot at the end of the league but they might get some competition to deal with if recent reports are true.

Talking to a Dutch television channel, former Arsenal great Robin van Persie spoke about his future and revealed that he is open to a move back to the Premier League.

The 33-year old was a prolific goal scorer for two of the biggest clubs in England in the prime of his career but he has recently shown that he has not lost any of his form in front of goal scoring 22 of them in 48 games for Fenerbahce last season.

Speaking in the interview about his future, the Dutchman said, “Over the years I have seen that you cannot really plan your career. You have to take it as it comes. There are all kinds of things in your path and you accept it or not.

The former FA cup winner Arsenal, is currently contracted with the Turkish outfit till 2018 but went on to say that he is open to everything.

He said, “That’s how I will approach the last few years. I’m open to everything. I’ve been away from the Netherlands for 13 years and that suits me fine. Whether it’s in England, Turkey or wherever.”

“The kids are involved. They are even more English than Dutch because they grew up there. There comes a time when they also get a bigger say in where they’d like to live and be,” he added.

There is no shortage of teams in the league who can do with the addition of Van Persie’s quality to their squad but it is to be seen whether he can keep up his form for this season and also the next if he does make a move.
