It has been reported for several days that the Giallorossi are listening to an offer from the UAE club.
Director of sport Walter Sabatini is said to have met with Al Jazira representatives in London and agreed a basic €13m transfer fee.
Sky Sport Italia and Il Tempo newspaper suggest President Ammar Bashir will fly to Rome, today for final negotiations and to agree personal terms.
Ivory Coast international Gervinho can expect to have his current wages at least doubled. Some reports suggest that it could even be tripled.
He struggled with injury after the Africa Cup of Nations and managed only two goals in 24 Serie A games this season.
The 28 year old Roma forward has 71 International caps for Ivory Coast and scored 20 goals.
Gervinho began his career at ASEC Abidjan and Toumodi F.C., before moving to Belgium in 2004 to play for the now-defunct Beveren. Between 2007 and 2011, he played in the French Ligue 1, initially at Le Mans and then at Lille. He was sold to Arsenal in 2011, where he endured torrid time. He, then, moved to Roma in 2013.
Latest reports, however, suggests that Abu Dhabi side has rejected the former Arsenal misfit due to his insane demands.
#Gervinho’s move to Al Jazira reportedly fell through because of his demands for a #helicopter and #private beach.
