Former Barcelona attacking midfielder Ibrahim Afellay is having a medical at Stoke City according to Sky Sports.

The 29 year Dutch star is now a free agent after his contract expiry at Camp Nou.
Capped 49 times for the Netherlands national team, he was a key player of the Oranje’s 2010 FIFA World Cup campaign where they finished as runners up.
He joined The Spanish giants from PSV in 2011 and could not impress due to his successive injuries.
He spent the last two seasons on loan at Schalke and Olympiacos.
With multiple honours for club and country, the Dutch is very unlucky with injuries throughout his career.
He won 4 Eridivisie titles and1 KNVB Cup at PSV.
He won 1 FIFA Club World Cup, 1 Champions League, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 La Liga, 1 Copa del Rey and 2 Supercopa de Espana with Barcelona.
He also won 2 trophies with Olympiacos in Greece.
The former Dutch Football Talent of the Year is set to join Stoke City with his former Barcelona teammates Bojan and Marc Muniesa.
