Former Manchester United player and Barcelona’s centre-half, Gerard Pique wants Chelsea to win Champions League if Barcelona crashes out for his good team-mate Cesc Fabregas.
Having played with Cesc Fabregas for many years, both for Barcelona’s youth and senior team along with Spain National Team, the 28-year old centre back of Barcelona. Ever since, Fabregas had come to Chelsea, he has been nothing less than a revelation making so many scoring chances for his team mates. If Chelsea were to win Champions League, the major part of contribution must be coming from Cesc Fabregas.
A Manchester United star having played four years at Old Trafford, Pique said –
“If Barca don’t win the Champions League, then I hope Chelsea win.Cesc Fabregas plays there and he’s my friend”.
Gerard Pique is only one of the very few who knew that Fabregas is considering a Chelsea before everyone, such was their friendship. So these words will not be a surprise to anyone .
Chelsea will face Paris Saint-German on Feb 17 in their Round of 16 tie in Champions League whereas Barcelona face reigning English Premier League Champions Manchester City in their pursuit to become European Champions again.
