Sir Alex Ferguson is afraid of Jurgen Klopp, find out why?
Premier League outfit Liverpool have really impressed since former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp took over the club, though they were surprisingly beaten 2-0 at the weekend, by Newcastle on their travel to St. James’ Park. The Reds were quite poor in the game and it clearly showed that there is still room for improvement in their squad. However, one man who has now revealed that he is worried about the German manager’s presence in the league is former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
Klopp’s arrival has meant that the Merserside club are now back in the race to finish in the top four, if not more, after a really poor start to the new campaign under former Kop boss Brendan Rodgers, who was eventually sacked.
Sir Alex ensured that the Red Devils overtook their fierce rivals in terms of league titles during his tenure, though he is now worried that Klopp might take them back to the top.
The Scot spoke about Klopp at the TechCrunch event in London and stated, “I’m worried about him because the one thing United don’t want is Liverpool to get above us.”
“He’s a fantastic personality, with those big white teeth always showing. Even at Newcastle when they lost the second goal he goes over to Steve McClaren to congratulate him. That’s class, that. And the work he did at Dortmund.”
“I know him quite well from the coaching seminars. He’s going to make a difference at that club with his personality, drive and knowledge. Things are looking up there.”
