Former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is expected to return to Old Trafford next summer as Manchester United are planning to bid for the veteran defender this summer.
The 33-year old Serb have opted to leave Old Trafford last summer to get first team action at Inter Milan on a free transfer hoping that Manchester United will build a team with new generation. The defender has only made 15 appearances for the Italian giants this season so far.
However, the season turned out to be different and the defence is looking fragile as the team is lacking a leader to lead the defence this season. Hence Louis van Gaal is trying to bring the Serb back to Old Trafford.
The defender was promised first team action last season when he left to Inter Milan but he was often benched causing frustration which led to the speculation of leaving Serie A. The defender’s agent recently added more fuel to the speculation by hinting that his client could leave Milan at the end of the season.
The 33-year old made 211 appearances for the Red Devils in his eight year spell that ran from 2006 to 2014 at Old Trafford.
