Liverpool could struggle to sign Jese Rodriguez this month, according to reports.
The former Real Madrid playmaker has struggled to make an impression at Paris Saint-Germain.
Jurgen Klopp is keen to make midfield reinforcements, and has identified the 23-year-old as a target.
Roma have also been credited with a move for the Spaniard.
But according to Spanish paper Marca, Rodriguez would prefer to join Las Palmas.
Although it is thought Liverpool and Roma are prepared to make big-money offers, Rodriguez it is believed, would be prepared to take a pay cut to leave the Parc des Princes.
A loan deal to his hometown club it is suggested is his preferred choice.
With Julian Draxler’s arrival at PSG, Jese Rodriguez’s future in the French capital looks increasingly in doubt, sparking speculation he could be on his way to Anfield.
The Spanish forward has been left out of PSG’s travelling party for a winter friendly in Tunisia and manager Unai Emery has admitted he could be on his way out.
PSG boss Unai Emery claimed at the start of the week that Rodriguez’s future will be assessed after the winter break.
He told Marca: “Jese needs to play, and when he did, his performance satisfied me.
“It is not proving easy to give him continuity and we have talked about the possibility that he will leave.
“After the winter break we will take a look at the situation and work out the best situation for both him and for PSG.”
