In world where loyalty is rare, Kamil Glik can be seen as a gleaming ray of hope as the Polish defender has signed a new long term deal until 2020 with his current club Torino. Glik has been linked with Manchester United most recently as Louis van Gaal seems to want sufficient cover at the back primarily to turn things around for the Mancunian club.
Van Gaal has been taken aback by the defensive displays put on by the Red Devils over the last few matches and has decided to shake up things.
These uninspiring displays have left van Gaal clinging to his job with a provision of 2 further matches to show that he can indeed be the manager who can return the club ro the top of the table come May.
Interestingly, it is the general consensus that van Gaal should be instead focussing on attack more than on defence as their failure to break opponents down has been a constant detriment to their results and it has culminated in their loss against Norwich, who have been struggling for goals all across the season so far.
Kamil Glik captains his side and has been in a strong and consistent form over his time at the Turin club and would be a great addition to any club but the new contract means that these clubs would have to shell out a lot more for his services, while also taking into account that he desires to stay at the place where he is loved.
