In pictures: Wenger handed a injury boost as star midfielder returns to training
Finally, Aaron Ramsey gives Arsene Wenger a long awaited fitness boost as he returned to train with his Arsenal team-mates ahead of Tomorrow’s important Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb at home.
24-yerar-old Ramsey hasn’t been able to feature for Arsenal since the 2-0 Champions League win over Bayern Munich on 20th October when he left the pitch with a severe hamstring injury.
Arsenal’s long list of absentees grew further on Saturday after both Francis Coquelin and Mikel Arteta suffered injuries during the unexpected 2-1 defeat at the hand of West Bromwich, thus joining the list which already includes Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Danny Welbeck, Tomas Rosicky and Jack Wilshere in the rehabilitation process.
Arsenal boss Wenger is reportedly revealed today that Francis Coquelin will be out for a long period due to a knee injury, but he will be definitely boosted by the return of Ramsey at the training complex.
Reports are also suggesting that Oxlade-Chamberlain might feature in the Premier League clash at Norwich on Sunday despite not been able to join the training sessions because of a hamstring injury, whereas Theo Walcott is still sidelined for almost three weeks with a calf problem.
Arsenal will step into the match against Dinamo Zagreb tomorrow aiming for not less than a win as their only hope of qualifying for the Champions League knockout stages on the line.
Wenger also will be hoping that Bayern beats Olympiakos, before defeating the Greek club themselves by minimum two goals or by a margin of 4-3 or much higher in the last group match next month.
