The week ended on a good note for the United fans, thanks to other Premier League clubs.
The English giants, Manchester United sealed a 2-0 victory over West Bromwich at Old Trafford. It was a sweet victory was youngster Lingard scored his first ever goal for the Red Devils. Juan Mata added to their joy by ending the game with the second goal by scoring the penalty.
North London club Arsenal dropped points after they failed to defeat rivals, Tottenham. Harry Kane opened the goal account for the club and Gibbs scored the equalizer for the Gunners. The result was disappointing as Arsenal have majorly dominated all North London Derbies till date.
Misery continues to stay at Chelsea as the Blues lost to Stoke City in an away game that ended 1-0. Jose Mourinho’s managerial job is definitely under risk after the awful result at the Britannia Stadium. This makes Chelsea drop down to the 16th position as the relegation zone comes closer to scare the Blues.
Merseyside club Liverpool tasted their first defeat under new boss Jurgen Klopp after they lost to Crystal Palace at home in a game that ended 1-2. Coutinho scored one goal but failed in leading the team to a victory.
Manchester City too had a fairly disappointing game as they ended in a 0-0 result at Villa Park. A game that the Manchester side could have won, eventually ended in a goal less draw as City take away just one point from the game.
The following results surely went in the favour of United fans and this indeed was a good weekend for them! The current PL standings are as follows,
1) Manchester City
3) Leicester City
4) Manchester United
