In the saga of Pep Guardiola and his future at Bayern Munich, the man himself has come forward and said that he would soon talk about his future.
Pep Guardiola has had a glorious career at Bayern Munich winning two Bundesliga titles, a German Cup and the FIFA club world. But the Spaniard has not signed an extension and after the German cup win against Darmstadt, the ex-Barcelona man said that “Tonight I have no answer. Next week you will know the answer. Next week there will be clarity” keeping the club and the fans on the edge of their seats.
As Beckenbauer rightly said that the global appeal of the EPL clubs like Manchester united might snatch away the champions manager from them, we might see Guardiola ruling in Manchester next term but whether it will be the Etihad arena or Old Trafford that only time will tell.
While Guardiola has said that he would announce his decision next week, rumours surfacing around the world say that Bayern Munich are pretty sure that Guardiloa is set to say goodbye to the Allianz Arena and, as a result, they have chosen La Decima winner Carlo Ancelloti to take up the place of Guardiola.
If the move comes to be, it will be a great media spectacle involving prolific clubs and two of the best football managers. But everything is hearsay and will only be clear when Guardiola speaks to reporters next week. Though Beckenbaur is apprehensive about letting Guardiola go, club chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has has blatantly said that Gurdiola is not irreplaceable. “Players come and go and it is the same for coaches. The coaches come in and at some point they leave. If Guardiola leaves, another exceptional coach will come in” further added the chief. And who better to replace the bossman than the Italian bull who by the way has been contacted by the club according to recent reports!
