According to latest reports, Arsenal are interested in Ligue 1 stars Nabil Fekir and Aymen Abdennour. Both the players had excellent seasons so far for their sides Lyon and Monaco respectively.
Arsene Wenger is very much interested in signing these players as they add a lot of depth and quality to the squad. Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League next season after an impressive 2015 in which they had an amazing 82 percent win percentage.
Nabil Fekir had an impressive season as he accumulated 12 goals and 9 assists in 31 appearances he made for Lyon this season. The player was previously involved with Manchester City but the player’s father admitted that he would prefer arsenal over City.
He said, “If he leaves, it’ll be for Arsenal. It’s the only club that can enable him to progress, with Arsene Wenger. He will not go to Manchester City to sit on the bench.”
On the other hand, Aymen Abdennour had an impressive start to his Monaco career since he moved to French giants last summer and have been rock-solid at the back. With Per Mertesacker and Koscielny getting into 30s, Wenger is looking for options that could could back the defenders.
The 25-year old despite having contract till 2019 at Monaco had been scouted by Arsenal on a number of occasions this season. Gunners have already told by Lyon that they need to pay £15million to take Fekir to the Emirates.
